As part of our commitment to the people of Columbia, the Sam Johnson for Columbia campaign is temporarily suspending all donation solicitations. We believe that in this moment, our community needs something greater than politics, it needs compassion, unity, and action.
Due to the current government shutdown, SNAP benefits will be suspended beginning November 1, leaving hundreds of thousands of families across Columbia and South Carolina without the support they rely on to put food on the table. This crisis demands our attention and our help.
We’re asking our supporters to redirect their generosity to the organizations working on the front lines to feed our neighbors – organizations like Harvest Hope, Senior Resources, and FoodShare South Carolina.
These groups, and several others, are doing incredible work to ensure no one in our community goes hungry. Your donation – no matter the amount – can help provide meals, dignity, and hope to families in need.
This campaign has always been about you. And right now, you have the power to make a difference.
Let’s show what Columbia is made of. Let’s show that when times get tough, we come together.
It’s About You.
It’s About Us.
It’s About Columbia.
